Cloud workers
A Cloud worker is a DevBox that ClusterCode hosts and meters by the hour, so you can run a fleet of agents without owning a single machine. It’s the same DevBox you’d run on your own hardware with BYOM — same image, same live terminal, same visual desktop — just running on infrastructure we manage.
Why managed compute
Section titled “Why managed compute”Best-of-N parallel agents, overnight Schedules, a dozen DevBoxes at once — they all need machines, and most people don’t have a rack of them sitting idle. Cloud workers are the on-ramp: spin up Linux DevBoxes from $0.06/hour, or boot a real Windows VM DevBox when your stack needs one. Outgrow the cloud and you can point the exact same DevBox at your own machines with BYOM — nothing in your setup changes.
Pricing
Section titled “Pricing”This is the canonical Cloud workers price list. Rates are quoted per hour but billed by the second of actual run time, charged against your credits and then your wallet top-up.
| Tier | OS | vCPUs | Memory | Price / hour |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Linux Small | Linux | 1 | 2 GB | $0.06 |
| Linux Medium | Linux | 2 | 4 GB | $0.12 |
| Linux Large | Linux | 4 | 8 GB | $0.24 |
| Windows Small | Windows | 2 | 6 GB | $0.18 |
| Windows Medium | Windows | 4 | 8 GB | $0.24 |
| Windows Large | Windows | 6 | 10 GB | $0.48 |
What’s included on Starter
Section titled “What’s included on Starter”Starter is $9.99/month and includes $4 in credits — split across AI assistance and compute. Credits are real dollars, not mystery units, and you always see the meter.
Compute is metered by the second. You pay only for the exact time a DevBox is actually running, charged against your credits at the per-tier rate in the table above. Stop the DevBox and the meter stops — there’s no hourly rounding. When your credits run out, top up a wallet and keep running at the same metered rate.
How billing works
Section titled “How billing works”- Metered by the second — you pay only for the exact time a DevBox is actually running, at the per-tier rate above. Stop it and the meter stops; no hourly rounding.
- Credits first, then wallet — each plan includes monthly credits; once they’re spent, usage draws from your wallet top-up at the metered rate.
- Same DevBox, your machines or ours — move any workload between Cloud workers and your own BYOM workers without changing the image or the run.
Measured launch time
Section titled “Measured launch time”Launching a DevBox from a locally-built golden image is fast — the pre-built disk skips the setup work — but we measure that launch time live rather than quote a number we haven’t timed.
